… until the end of summer.
I’m not a big fan of summer, but now that September is truly within reach I can’t help but to count down on the number of things I still need to do before the season’s end. I’ve got a beach day, Storm King day, and two days of Electric Zoo planned until fall. I almost feel like I should stuff my weekends for the next 41 days to make the most of my summer in the city.
Now that fall is just around the corner, I’m getting very reflective about the passing of time. Fall has traditionally been the season for change – change in harvests, chillier weather, moving up in school, starting a job. But this year… this year there isn’t anything planned for the fall that is different. I feel as if there isn’t going to be enough change this year, and that worries me.
I don’t like repetition. I can’t stand sameness. I am terrified of stasis.
What I’m listening to…
This remix has literally been played 20+ times since I first heard it. The chorus “And quietly, I say it to your face / That you will need to find another place to stay” is definitely a shuffle moment.
